Continueing on from a life-long love of drawing, I began painting while living in Wales, UK.  My work explores ongoing themes including habitat, natural elements and our connection to them, relationships, memories, ancestral lines and family. Color and texture have become integral features of my art language. Portraying and expressing echos of the literal through unique abstractions, I enjoy creating room for the viewer to bring their own interpretations and personal responses. Also a musician, my work with art and music are closely related as they inspire and inform each other.
